Convento das mónicas – A place for the theater

In a large convent in the typical district of Graça – a village inside the city, the theater group Artistas Unidos established their HQ two years ago after leaving Bairro Alto, bringing their intensely and dynamic charisma to a not so famous neighbourhood of the city. The place has continuous art exhibitions and plays being displayed both by new Portuguese authors as well as famous writers. At the entrance there is a small bookstore with hundreds of books and magazines on theater and also the small theater books that show all of the plays that Artistas Unidos played.
